NOTE: I offer services to professional writers and publishers. This is not an academic or “homework” service.

As far back as I can remember, I was always writing; whether it be short stories, a neighborhood newspaper, or a script of some kind. From AP Composition and the newspaper in high school, where my earlier career interest was journalism, to my days in college, like so many others, I have written hundreds of papers. One major differences in my writing in school is that I never received less than an A grade on a paper.

Well, I didn’t go into journalism and I haven’t written that novel yet. I am, however, a published author – and not just on my own blog. I have published numerous articles on Cybersecurity and other computer related topics. I have also ghost written articles and papers on a variety of topics. In addition, I had served for a number of years as editor of technical newsletters for  HP-3000 Computer Users Groups.

In addition to my writing experience, I have been teaching, and thus grading papers, for 10 years now. I have taught ESL, Witing for IELTS and TOEFL, Reading and Writing for Newspapers, and Composition at both high school and college levels. As a History and Social Studies teacher, naturally, I have graded (edited) a mountain of papers.

Now writers, or those who want to write, can benefit from my experience.

  • Fact Checking: Fact-checkers verify that all the facts and claims in a story are accurate and represented fairly. This involves reading through a reporter’s notes, audio and transcripts. Checking court records, video footage, research documents, any materials that the reporter used (or didn’t) in researching and reporting on a piece is imperative. “Fact-checkers also look for holes in stories. They research sources to make sure they don’t have their own conflicts of interest and what they’re providing can be relied upon. I could write a full page or more on the job description of a Fact Checker, but you get the idea. I will make sure that your article, paper, or book is bulletproof.
  • English Proofreading: English Proofreading is done after editing and layout, after the page proofs have been prepared by the designer. While Copy editing errors may still be found, a proofreader is concerned with other elements.
